Moving to Balance provides a range of services during times of change and transition, including Life Support Sessions, workshops and classes, as well as consultations and trainings.
Life Support Sessions for Adults
Our Individual Life Support sessions help adults of all ages cope with life transitions. Initial consultations take place in our comfortable living room-like office in NE Portland. You will complete an initial assessment form (PDF) prior to our meeting, and we will follow our standard 4-step Life Support Approach so that you leave feeling more grounded and less overwhelmed than when you came in.
Our practical approach focuses on the logistics of change; we work with you to plan for and manage the transitions you’re facing. We customize each session to provide a nurturing connection to your support system and healthy ways to cope with change in your life. Follow-up sessions can be held at our office, or we can travel to your location.
Life Support Sessions for Parents
As a parent, sometimes you need support for the changes your kids are experiencing. When your typical approach isn’t working anymore, you need some new ideas and strategies. For little ones, you might need help managing a new stage of toddler tantrums. For older kids, you might need ideas to support them starting a new school.
Our 4-step Life Support Approach will help you clarify which parenting tools you need right now. By the time you leave, we will make sure you have at least two new strategies you can put to work right away.
