Life Support Sessions
Adults of all ages benefit from individual Life Support Sessions during life changes. One-on-one sessions provide an opportunity to address issues related to transition and change, as well as work on creative problem-solving skills and ways to relax and calm down. Each session is individualized to offer a grounded, nurturing connection with your body and ways to cope with change in healthy ways. We also take a practical approach to the logistics of change – working with you to organize and plan for projects and events that are central to the transitions you’re facing. All consultation sessions follow our standard Life Support model so that you leave feeling less overwhelmed than when you came in.

What does a Life Support Session look like?
All initial consultations take place in our comfortable living room-like office in NE Portland. I will already have your initial assessment form which you will have completed prior to our meeting. Based on your personal situation, we will work through the 4 Life Support Steps together:
- Get Grounded – rediscovering what keeps you centered, problem-solving how to calm yourself in the midst of change
- Get Support – looking at your personal support system, identifying resources for your practical needs
- Get It Together – looking at the big picture, making practical plans with next steps, predicting barriers and solutions
- Get On With Your Life! – taking action, defining and celebrating success!
We will talk, maybe write, possibly draw out some ideas on the whiteboard, take deep breaths together… whatever it takes to help you work through this model and leave feeling more optimistic about coping with your own transitions.
How many sessions will I need?
This will depend on your situation. Everyone can benefit from one initial consultation, and generally at least a few follow-up sessions will help you make it through the transition you are facing. We will discuss this as part of your plan. You are not required to schedule more than one session at a time – this is the flexible part!
What are your fees?
Initial consultation 1.5 hours $125
4 follow-up session package 1 hour x4 $285
2 follow-up session package 1 hour x2 $155
Individual follow-up sessions 1 hour $80
Offsite follow-up sessions above fees plus $25 for travel
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes. We accept Paypal and you do not need to have your own paypal account to use this service. We also accept cash and personal checks. Payment is always due at the time of service.
